Bishop Herbert Bailey, originally from Jersey City, N.J., is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Right Direction Church International with three locations in Columbia, Orangeburg and Florence, S.C. He grew the church from 10 to 3,000 people with over $30M in assets in 29 years of ministry. Most recently, he built a $17M church facility during the pandemic. 

Bishop Bailey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Upsala College, East Orange, N.J., pursued a Master of Public Administration at Rutgers University of New Jersey and a Master of Organizational Leadership at Regent University. He has three certifications in Change Management, Executive Leadership and High-Performance Leadership from Cornell University. Bishop Bailey also holds an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, Fl. 

Under his direction R.D.C.I. has sponsored the Compass Community Development Corporation, a 501(c)3 community non-profit organization that addresses housing needs, food insecurity and workforce transition and has also initiated missions efforts in Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana, West Africa through targeted medical missions. He serves as Apostolic Founder of the Right Direction Church campuses and Prelate of the Right Direction Fellowship.

Bishop Bailey and his wife of 40 years, Co-Pastor, Dr. Marcia L. Bailey, have four professional adult children (including a pastor, attorney/city councilman, college

basketball coach and fashion/beauty professional) and seven grandchildren. His preaching and teaching ministry brings forth a message of faith, power and whole life prosperity.
